Роль єпископа Софрона Мудрого у становленні та розвитку української редакції радіо «Ватикан»

Abstract

У статті висвітлено життєвий та професійний шлях багаторічного співробітника української редакції радіо «Ватикан» єпископа Софрона Мудрого. Розглянуто специфіку мовлення української редакції радіо «Ватикан», створеної задовго до відкриття інших українськомовних редакцій закордонних радіостанцій. Встановлено, що радіо в період «холодної війни» стало голосом ліквідованої УГКЦ, яка в Україні діяла в підпіллі. Майже відразу після виходу українських програм в ефір Радянський Союз розпочинає систематично їх «глушити», усвідомлюючи загрозу, яку вони несуть панівному в СРСР атеїзму. Проаналізовано внесок єпископа Софрона Мудрого у розвиток і становлення української редакції радіо «Ватикан». Визначено, що він доклав значних зусиль до впровадження українською редакцією нових видів, форм та методів роботи. Йому вдалося розширити вплив та значення української служби радіо «Ватикан» далеко за межі суто редакційної діяльності. The article highlights the life and professional path of many years employee of the Ukrainian editorial office of Vatican Radio the bishop Sofron Wise. The specificity of broadcasting of the Ukrainian editorial office of Vatican Radio created long before the opening of the other Ukrainian-speaking editorial offices of foreign radio stations is reviewed. It was established that the Radio during the Cold War became the voice of the liquidated UGCC which operated underground in Ukraine. Almost immediately after Ukrainian programs aired the Soviet Union started the systematic «jamming» of them, aware of the threat they are to the dominant in the Soviet Union atheism. The contribution of the bishop Sofron Wise to the formation and development of the Ukrainian editorial office of Vatican Radio is analyzed. It is determined that he has made significant efforts to the implementation of the Ukrainian editorial office of new species, forms and methods of work. He managed to expand the influence and value of the Ukrainian editorial office of Vatican Radio far beyond purely editorial activities.
